Re-designed. Re-engineered. Re-invented RIM is now just about a month and a half away from launching its new OS which is by far the most refined OS from the company over their previous version. The company which once ruled the roost for the QWERTY segment and data services had a forgettable past few years after iOS and android stormed it. We had recent updates in all the 3 major mobile OS in last year, iOS6, Android Jelly Bean and Windows 8. BB 10 was expected pretty earlier but it has been dragged and now set to launch on 30 Jan 2013.
The phone has been revealed through many other sites but RIM is yet to reveal it officially, apart from a back side image on their global site. If the images are to be believed to be true, then visually it does have the steps to climb up. The BB 10 has slowly been getting the attention and after so much of criticism from analysts, labeling it as the final nail in coffin for RIM, it promises to be breaking into the top smart phone segment next month. The BB 10 demo videos, and the new features does look promising. One of the features to look forward is the new touchscreen BlackBerry® Keyboard which provides an effortless typing experience. It learns your writing style and suggests words to help you type faster, more accurately and with the least amount of effort. And if you tend to mistype certain letters, the keyboard will remember and subtly adjust to make sure you hit the right key.
Other feature to be noted is BlackBerry hub witch which, you can stay in touch with a single swipe. You can keep everything that matters to you in one place. Simply peek into the BlackBerry® Hub from any app with just a swipe, and flow effortlessly in and out of your messages and conversations.
Over 50 carriers are currently working on lab testing of the new products and only post launch response will tell if BlackBerry 10 is ready to take on iOS and android or just peaking at number 3 slot.
