Six BlackBerry 10 devices will arrive in 2013–CMO

RIMs much touted BB 10 OS and hardware launch is just 20 days away and the curiosity levels are rising. We already have heard about the QWERTY BB 10 to be launched in this year, probably inside first 6 months, but RIM CMO Frank Boulben has said that company will be launching at least six different BlackBerry 10 devices split evenly between QWERTY and all-touch models.

After 30 January, it will be much more clear if they are required to launch the remaining 5 devices as the company has been getting fierce on slot from iOS and Android. RIM surely is looking for the numbers before taking next step ahead after their first launch, though, with CMO Frank Boulben confirming in an interview with FierceWireless that RIM is looking to release "at least" six BlackBerry 10 devices before year's end which are expected to cover a range of price points on the low, medium and high-end. Apart from that, he didn’t offer any indication as to when we can expect those other models during the year. A point to be noted is that RIM recently launched BlackBerry 9315, running on BB OS 7 priced at mid level, with just weeks left in the launch of BB 10, the launch of 9315 was awkwardly timed and confusing for both retailers and the customers, and with the news of 6 device in low to mid ranges in BB10, was a new launch in BB OS 7 required?
