Get yourself Inked with Skullcandy Ink'd

I got my wrist inked last year and at the same time, got Skullcandy Ink'd. The tiny little earphones in green, yellow, red, black color and embedded with 10 such Skullcandy logos.

Now lets get started with how i feel about it. These look funky and very stylish and you will go crazy over the colors available, check over the  internet.

When i got my set of skullcandy ink'd, i was very excited to try these out. Before i had ink'd, i was using regular earphones which comes with mobiles. I was always a big fan of Sony's in-ear buds, tried the buds from Samsung phones also but sony was clear winner. Now, what made me go for Skullcandy?

Answer is...

They are different, bold, funky, stylish, and yes, quite brilliant in what they say.

Lets look down at some of the technical specs from us.skullcandy.com

"Ink adds permanence. It forces the visual representation of an idea, concept, ideal or experience, and tangibly commemorates it. Like a tattoo, graffiti, or stretch marks. Until you're really ready to commit, go with the INK'D ear buds. Big sound, little price, no visible scarring."

Coming out of techs, Ink'd never ever disappointed me. Rap, rock-n-roll, indo, western, sufi, classic, punjabi beats, hip-hop it has performed very well. It has truly amazing Bass which make you feel woofer like experience. These are comfortable enough to wear and use for about 3-4 hours straight, but make sure you don't turn up the full volume. This one certainly has More goods than bads in it, lets have a look.

Goods

  • Bass

  • Looks

  • Comfort

  • Colors

  • +Quality (I don't know why but this is something which I am completely in love with, these Ink'd never get tangled, something which i hate about other headphones, even my BlackBerry earphones when tangled, take a minimum of minute to get undone, but the rubber quality of the wire in ink'd is different which is somehow, for which i have no idea about, makes them less tangled. By the above lines I mean they are easy to untangle ;) not that they never get tangled :)

Bads

  • Comfort (this is after 3-4 hours of use where in they get bit moist and start to irritate.)

  • The 'L' and 'R' indicating Left and Right plug are embossed in a very tiny font  and hence, it is very difficult to know which is right and left plug.

  • Nothing else.

Coming to conclusion, Skullcandy Ink'd, priced at INR899 are definitely worth giving a shot, it has all the qualities which you would like to have, plus they have great range of colors to choose from. You can check out the whole range of colors available at http://us.skullcandy.com/shop/ink-d-rasta

Some girlish and some rusty styles are also available.

  1. Hey there,
I just got myself a pair of these.. was wondering what are the right equaliser settings for these headphones? Because they really seem to lack bass. Any help?

  2. Hi Sukhada, the EQ depends on what you're listening to, the ideal EQ settings for any earphones to taste the bass is 'Rock', and don't worry, they have a lot of it :). Do let me know if you need any other help on this.
