LG Google Nexus 4 arrives in India
LG Google Nexus 4 which was announced in November 2012 has arrived in India. It was already put up on pre-order on many online stores since yesterday but the device has officially been announced today
Google collaborated with LG for the next Nexus to launch their Android Jelly Bean platform. The phone is based on Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2.
Tech Specs
Google LG Nexus 4 comes with a 4.7-inch True HD IPS Plus capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 768 x 1280 pixels. The phone runs Android Jelly Bean 4.1 out of the box but is upgradable to Jelly Bean version 4.2.2.
It houses a Qualcomm Snapdragon Quad-core 1.5 GHz Krait processor under the hood with 8 GB and 16 GB internal memory options with 2 GB RAM.
8 MP rear end camera with LED flash and the front cam is 1.3 MP. The camera supports multiple functions like Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, photo sphere, etc.
It is to be noted that only 16 GB version is available in India and the phone is priced at Rs 25,990 in India which is considerably higher than its US variant. Most phone-makers price the product at a premium in India. The phone is an LG launch and not a Google announcement which might have reduced prices. Though seeing the premium tag of the recently announced Google Nexus 7 in India, we don’t think Google would have altered prices.
The phone comes with amazing high-end features and is strong competition for other flagships models. Considering other phones with similar features are priced in the much higher bracket LG Google Nexus 4 is priced reasonably well and will prove to be tough competition for most flagship models such as Samsung Galaxy S3, iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, BlackBerry Z10 and others.
