Is Apple Really Going Cheap?

With the looks of the leaked images all over the web, Apple's iPhone 5C seems confirmed for September 2013 release. By the first impression of it, the iPhone 5C seems to be borrowing its vibrant looks from Nokia's Lumia series of smartphones. iPhone 5C could be released in 5 vibrant colors, i.e. red, yellow, green, blue and white, all in plastic case. The specs are yet to be confirmed but expected specs can be read below. The pricing would be the winning factor here along with the specs. If Apple gets it right, Nokia would be having a really hard time with its Lumia series which is currently doing very well and Nokia Lumia 520 is the best selling windows 8 phone ever. What already favors the iPhone 5C is the huge Eco-system of apps compared to windows shallow bucket.

iPhone 5C Colors

Anyways, it was never Apple v/s Nokia, it has always been Apple v/s Samsung. So, does iPhone 5C in anyways be hurting the clichéd list of Samsung Galaxy devices, we will have to wait and see. According to some sources, the iPhone 5C will be powered by a dual-core CPU, and will have a 4-inch screen with a resolution of 640x1136 pixels. iPhone 5C will have 1GB of RAM, and will come in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB storage variants. It will sport an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 1.2-megapixel front facing camera camera and run iOS 7 complete with Siri which would be available in English, French, German, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Italian and Spanish.

iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S

The iPhone 5C will reportedly be 6 grams lighter than the iPhone 5 at 106 grams and will measure 124.2 x 58.4 x 7.6 mm. The iPhone 5 measures 123.8 x 58.6 x 7.6 mm.

Though Apple hasn't officially acknowledged the presence of a low-cost iPhone yet, but it has leaked several times. Alleged pictures of the iPhone 5C have revealed a plastic polycarbonate body back panel.

Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 5S along with the iPhone 5C(rumored) in September at an event in San Francisco.

Stay tuned for more information.
