iPhone 5S vs iPhone 5C - Technical Specifications Comparison

Apple unveiled the 2 new iPhones at the launch event on September 10, 2013. Much hyped iPhone 5C was shown first and it looked that it drew its DNA from Nokia Lumia series. None the less, we were already expecting the same iPhone 5C as the leaked images and videos were already out almost a month ago. Apple also broke the trend of discontinuing the older generation iPhones this year, instead, they brought the curtains to iPhone 5 and continued with the 4S, it was a wise move, because 5C has everything that iPhone 5 had, just the poly-carbonate covers at the back, slightly heavier at 132 gms and thicker. It packs the same pixels, along with iPhone 5S, 326PPI and same 4 inch screen.

iPhone 5C VS iPhone 5S

iPhone 5S on the other hand is an upgrade to iPhone 5, same pixel desity, same screen size, same dimensions but addition of much hyped Touch ID fingerprint identity sensor, along with an upgraded and all new A7 chip along with a motion co-processor called M7, an amber + a cool led flash to balance the pictures. Apple claims 5S to be 5 times faster than 5 and there is a 40x CPU performance increase with 56x faster Graphics than the original iPhone.

iPhone 5C, which was being referred to be a cheaper version is by no means a low cost budget phone. It is available is 16GB and 32GB variants only but the price is similar to iPhone 5.

iPhone 5S has 3 colors Silver, Space Gray, Gold while 5C comes in White, Pink, Yellow, Blue, Green.
